Book Review | The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas

Starr grew up in a mostly poor black neighborhood. She also goes to Williamson Prep, a predominately white private school. After watching her friend, Khalil, get shot by a white police officer during a traffic stop, her life feel like a puzzle without any matching pieces.
